In celebration of the Australasian Bat Month – WIRES and Landcare are hosting a Bat Night
When: Wednesday 28th March from 6pm
Where: WORKSPACE2580, 56 Clinton Street Goulburn
Topics that will be discussed:
- Why we need bats in our environment
- Ecosystems for bats — what bats need, where they live and where to find them
- Meet the locals — A look at the flying-fox and microbat species found in and around Goulburn
- Sometimes it’s tough being a bat — the challenges bats face
- What to do if you find a bat
- Simple actions everyone can take to support bat populations
This is a free event and all ages welcome – we will have some fun bat themed activities and prizes. You may like to come dressed as your favourite bat.
